Meet Dearbhla Keenan

Make-Up artist extraordinaire

Dearbhla has been a make-up artist for almost 10 years. She studied her trade for two years and worked as a freelance make-up artist, before going on to work with Brown Sugar where she has worked now for over six years. Dearbhla’s clients include Síle Seoige, Gráinne Seioge and Lisa Kennedy to name a few. She also features regularly on TV3’s Xposé & RTE’s Off The Rails along with working on editorials with Irish publications.

Since the opening of Brown Sugar Blackrock, Dearbhla has gone between working in both salons in South William Street and Blackrock, however she is now set to return to Brown Sugar South William Street full time.

“Make-Up is all about enhancement” says dearbhla, her work ethic is to find natural beauty and enhance what is already there. Top Tip from Dearbhla: Remember that ‘less is more’ when it comes to make-up and a good blusher is really important – Dearbhla favours ‘Captive Blusher’.

We recently announced that HD Brows, Gelish Nails and semi-permanent mascara are coming to Brown Sugar, and Dearbhla will be heavily involved with all of these new products. We are really excited for Dearbhla’s move back to our South William Street salon and we look forward to watching her excel further in her career.
